We Embrace Serendipity!

We’re a brand new art space, as of 2025!

At Splashing Cat Studio, we focus on process-oriented art that allows kids the widest possible experimentation and creative growth. With process art, there is no right or wrong way to make art. In the spirit of cultural icon Bob Ross, there are no mistakes, only happy accidents! We encourage kids to take creative risks and, when things don’t go as planned, we help them embrace the concept of serendipity by redirecting their efforts into new creations.

While we embrace process art, we realize that kids want to leave a camp or class with a finished project. That’s why we introduce a variety of techniques, tools, and materials, offer project prompts to spark ideas, and provide supportive feedback along the way. To keep things fun and stress-free, we schedule regular breaks and offer a cozy de-stress station for moments when kids need a creative reset.
